According to one of the escapees from the Argyllshire, when the troops were told the',v would have to be quarantined for seven days, a Targe body of .men secured control of the fore part of the ship, and,hoisted two flags. They pulled up the anchor half way, and attempted to get up oVeam with the object of running the ship ashore. While this was in progress, ' three boats, containing 42 men, were, lowered. Order was restored after 15 mm utes, and all the - escapees were subesquemtly recaptured.
