SAILORS' REST. Miss Lindsay and party from the Berhamporo Baptist Church entertained at . the Sailors' Rest, Post Office Square, on Saturday night a large number of sailors from the various, vessels in port. The usual programme of parlour games and songs, and the singing of choruses by the 3ailors was gone through. During .the evening Mr. D. M'Callmn, president of the Wellington Branch of the British and Foreign Sailors' Society, distributed prizes to the sailors who won the various events at the Miramar picnic on Boxing Day. Light refreshments were handed round and the singing of the well-known hymn, " Eternal Father, Strong to Save," followed by " Auld Lang Syne," and cheers for Miss Lindsay .and party brought a pleasant evening's entertainment to a close.
