THE WEATHER OUTLOOK

During the week-end unsettled, cloudy, aiid misty weather ruled, and rain was fairly general, heavy in parts. In Wellington the total fall for the forty-eight hours up to 9 a.m to-day was 130 inches, of which amount 1.07 inches fell on Saturday and early on Sunday morning. Strong northerly winds changed to southorlies on Sunday, and the centre of the disturbance passed yesterday, and is now located to the south of the Chatham Islands. It is still likely to have some effect upon conditions, and the forecast is for cool and changeable weather generally, with scattered showers and moderate to strong south-west winds prevailing.
