THE GOVEBNMENTS GREETING
The A.cting-Prim« Minister has sent the following message of welcome to General Pau ori his arrival at Auckland:— ■ . . ' ■•■ V "On behalf of the Government and people of New Zealand, I bid you and the members of your mission a\ hearty welcome. Your stay with -. us is too short, '■ but everything will be done during your visit to enable you to carry out the purposes of your mission, and, at the same time, see something, of th© gifts nature so plentifully has bestowed upon the Dominion. Thus may you carry away pleasant memories of the Homeland of those soldiers of ours who, fighting alongside the brave sons of France, have come to realise the magnificence of the struggle your countrymen have ma"de, and with such gratifying success for their own liberty and for the freedom of men and women generally. I hope to have the pleasure of meeting you in Wellington on arrival there."
