YOUTHS IN TROUBLE
Two yonths—W. Burnell and Robert Corry—who had escaped from' the Weraroa Training Farm, were dealt with at the Magistrate's Court at Otaki on Thursday, to answer several charges of breaking and entering, and theft. Both of the youths were arrested by Constable Satherley after an exciting chase through, the Otaki river. According .to their own statements-. they escaped from the farm and celebrated their new-found liberty by breaking into various, places at Turakina and Otaki, and Levin, where they stole various articles, ranging from money to biscuits and clothes. ' Burnoll spent some of the money he stole on making a trip by, train to Auckland; and ho also confessed that he tlurew a gold watch and chain which he had stole into a sewer at Turakina. Both the boys were committed to the Supreme Court for sentence.
