SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY
The fact that the Sailors' Friend Society's building is still held by the Public Health Department as a seamen's hospital prevented the society from carrying out its usual programme at Christmas. The men in the hospitals, however, were visited. On Boxing Day a happy party, by the courtesy of the Mayor, met in the Concert Chamber of the Town Hall, and games, tea,, supper, and pictures filled in a happy time. At 8 p.m., the New Zealand Pictures Supplies, Ltd., put on an excellent programme for the. guests. At the close of the day Mr. Moorej niissioner, moved ii vote of thanks to the Mayor, The N.Z. Pictures, Ltd., the wankers, the custodian of the Town Hall, and all who had sent in gifts. The missioner.
