AN AMERICAN CONSUL
ARRESTED BY BOLSHEVIKS.
(AUSTRALIAN-NEW ZEALAND CAKE ASSOCIATION.) (Received December 27, 1.50 p.m.) WASHINGTON, 26th December. It is reported that Mr. Roger Treadwell, American Consul, has been arrested at Tashkent (Turkestan) at the instance of the Bolsheviks. The reason is not known. The State Department is hoping to secure Mr. Treadwell's immediate release.
