CENTRE TOURNAMENT

The 'ninth tournament under the auspices of the Wellington Bowling Centre commenced this morning. There were fifty entries from the city and suburban and Masterton clubs, and the weather conditions were pleasant, and the greens in good condition. The umpire {Mr. C. Bary) congratulated the players on the fact, and the hope was expressed that there would in future be no more trouble over a detail which has in the past given rise to a good deal of unpleasantness.
