NEW YORK, 25th December

Mr. J. Daniels, Secretary of the- Navy, has issued a statement welcoming the American warships which will arrive from England on Boxing Day. He says the aid of the American Navy co-oper-ation with the British Navy gave such a predominance of sea power in the North Sea that the German fleet did not dare to invite suicide by offering battle. The united efforts of both navies typified the cemented bonds between Britain and America.
