A deputation of stranded New Zealanders urged the Government to give them assistance to return to New Zealand. Mr. Fuller, in reply, said the Government had made representations to the Union Company which were unacceptable, but ho believed the position would bo reviewed, probably in the first week of the New Year. ' The influenza cases in quarantine have been reduced to eight.
