SPIRITS IMPORTED DURING THE WAR
During the war period from 4th August, 1914, to 30th October, 1918, the spirits imported into New Zealand amounted to 4,906,297 gallons, made up of 4,382,866 ga-llons of beverage spirits, 511,197 of spirits of wine for the manufacture) of methylated spirits, medicinal preparations, aud so on; 6655 gallons of perfumed cpirits and 5570 gallons ..of "other jjpints.
