OVERSEAS TONNAGE
BRIGHT PROSPECTS FOB NEXT • YKAR. The Post learns that the New Zealand Overseas Shipowners' Committee advises that a total of seventy-five steamers have been allotted to load in Australia and New Zealand in March, April, and May. Of these, thirty-seven are insulated steamers,, but many are of small capacity . only. It is impossible to cay at present how many of these steamers will load in the Dominion, .but a sufficient number should be available to provide shipping facilities for a considerable quantity of meat, dairy produce, and general cargo during the months of March, April, and May, but it will not necessarily enable the freezing companies to carry on without difficulty, and: possibly with periods of stoppage tel killings.
