The Oriental Bay and' Roseneath Epi-' demic Committee held its final meeting \ last evening, when the gratifying report I was made that the district is now prao- j tically clear of the epidemic. ! The organisa- 1 tion, was the subject of general con- ! gratulation, and votes of thanks were i passed to the officer in bharge and r his | wife and all voluntary helpers, including | the Boy Scouts,. . . The committee also expressed its deep i gratitude to all who helped, especially 3 to the women of the district and the -^ Sisters of Compassion, who nursed and ; comforted the' sick.- The motor-car ' owners were thanked not only for their J services in their own difficult district, ' but also for the assistance they rendered in several' other districts and in * the evacuation of the hospitals.
