- The Post's London correspondent states that the New Zealand Red Cross has sent large supplies of equipment and hospital comforts t,o the Jaw Hospital at Sidcup, where a new ward holding sixty beds has been opened for New Zealand cases in charge of a New Zealand medical officer. Amongst other things sent, saysi the report of the committee, are Morris chairs, invalid tables, supplies of broken biscuits for making into special soft puddings,, etc., etc. Pyjamas were also asked for by the sister in charge, and some very good flannel onea made by the Burwood Christchurch Red Cross were sent down. On receiving these, the sister in charge said she had not seen such beautiful flannel pyjamas since the beginning of the war, and her appreciation of them was shown by the fact that she said that on no account should they be sent to the ordinary laundry, but she would have them washed specially at the. hospital. The same sister was also exceedingly pleased with some flannel operation gowns from New Zealand, x
