AN APPRECIATION

THE ALLOTMENTS TO SOLDIERS'

DEPENDENTS.

The President of the Second Division League has asked to be placed on record the league's appreciation of the- work ol the Allotment Branch (War Expenses Department) in getting this month s pay warrants posted up to date. Notwith^ standing the severe depletion of sl.ift owing to tho epidemic, arrangements were made to concentrate on this very important work, and postings were completed this morning. Mr. Armstrong points out that in this time of stross any delay in t!|e receipt of pay warrants would have hit the dependents of soldiers very hard, and although, «yen now, owing to the unavoidable disorganisation of the postal deliveries, there may be Eome slight delays, the wivss and other dependents of soldiers will know that the warrants are all on the way to them.
