Among recent, deaths in tho Wairarapa from the influenza, epidemic are Mr. L. A. Wohekeg, Jit. Bruce; Mi). Carl Peterson, of Parkvale; Mr. Alan Fisher, of Matarawa, formerly of the G.P.0., Wellington; Mr. if Clifton, of Carterton ; Mr. W. M'Keown, of Mauriccville; Mr.- H. J. X Meyriek, of Dalefield; and Mrs. G. Riley, of Wangamii, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. F. Stonp; of Carterton.
Sir. Walter Buchanan, M.I/.O;, has donated £100 towards the relief of sufferers from the influenza epidemic in the Masterton district. ■ ■
, A number of Masterton youths who ara,in the higher standards of the State Schools are offering their services for farm work during the holidays. A large Buptly of fish reached Masterton ok> Thursday," and md eagerly! snapped up. It is expected that business in Masterton, which has been suspended for a week, will be resumed on Monday. There was one death' yesterday. The hospital report this morning is very good.
