TOO MUCH DELAY
AT INHALATION CHAMBER.
The gentleman's cloak room at the Town Hall has been converted into an inhalation chamber,. and from the time .the chamber opened this morning big crowds awaited an'opportunity to enter. Only one machine was working inside, and the delay occasioned caused many complaints. It is suggested that big crowds congregating in the corridor should be avoided if possible. When a Post reporter emerged from the'chamber —the inhalation process occupies about five to seven minutes—there were two or three hundred people crowded together, the majority .of them being school children. It looked as though at least two hours would elapse before all were dealt with. The crowd was being augmented all the time. Many complained bitterly of the delay, and the need for another spray was plainly evident.
