"Would you prohibit enemy aliens?" intarjected Mr Brown (Napier) in the House of Representatives la-st night, when Mr ivTassey was referring to immigration. The Prime Minister replied that he would be in favour of prohibiting, except in cases where it could be shown that such aliens had not been in favour of the war policy of their countries. Mr. Payne : Do you ' think Germans; should be allowed to own land here? Mr Massey. No; I hope Germans will not be allowed to establish themselves here. We ha,ve had enough of Germany's "peaceful penetration." We have also to prevent shirkers from coming here. If a. man is not able to show that he did his duty to his country we don't want him here. We don't want a yellow streak in this country Mr. Holland : Will you disfranchise financial shirkers, too? Mr. Massey : 1 will do justice to every individual
