It is not generally known that an excellent cough remedy can be quickly, easily, and cheaply made at home in a few minutes by dissolving half a pound of sugar in. half a pint of boiling water and then stirring in two ounces of Bitrate oft Tar, which can be obtained of any chemist at slight cost. Bitrate of Tar Cough Syrup is as. pleasant to take as it is effective, and is therefore especially suitable for children. The dose for adults is one to two teaspoonfuls every hour or two until the cough is cured; children should take half as much.
