UNSETTLED WEATHER
.Fiir weather haa ruled in east coast districts; during the past .twenty-four hours, but elsewhere conditions halve been cloudy and unsettled, and rain has been reported in .all the western districts and in the far north and south. Moderate to strong northerly and westerly winds have predominated, and the indications are for westerlies, increasing strong to gale, with a southerly tendency shortly. Unsettled and squally weather is likely with rain in most paits of the counutry, and heavy rain oa western coast and southernmost districts...of tho South Island.
