HOSPITAL CONTROL
MEETING OF THE BOARD.
Matters affecting hospital'control'were dealt with at a meeting of the Hospital and Charitable Aid Board held yesterday afternoon. Mr. H. Baldwin presided, and others present were Rev. H. van Staveren, Dr. J. K. Elliott, Mes•diunes M'Vicar, Aitken, a,nd • Neill, Messrs. F. Castle, B. G. H. Bum, J. Smith, C. M. %-ake, J. W. M'Ewan, D. Campbell, and A. J. M'Curdy.
On the recommendation' of the .Hospital Committee, it was decided Uiat the drainage of the laundry. ground be carried out in accordance with the City Engineer's, proposals, and that a lowconcrete wall be erected oh the western boundary of such ground. The Charitable Aid Committee recommended that accounts amounting "to £659 lEs 6d be passed for : payment. The committee also reported that in refer-, ence to the maintenance of a certain child from the Hawera district, which was tile subject of a recommendation in the committee's report for' August,- the Bawera Hospital Board has explained"" that by an inadvertence .its action had been incorrectly represented in its letter of 19th August, the board having, in fact, formally resolved to accept liability. ,■'•■:'.
