SPRING VEGETABLE POSITION.

The New, Zealand Fanners' Co-opera-tive Distributing Company reports today as follows:— • . • . ■

Table potatoes have not been quite so plentiful during the week, 1 and prices remain fairly firm: Oats are in demand, values remaining firm. Maize feed is now in short supply,' and prices have slightly advanced. Ryegrass is being inquired for in small quantities, with prices firm. Cocksfoot ia still high in price, with small demand. Fowl wheat is coming forward in small lots, prices remaining firm. Pork has been slightly more plentiful during the week, although prices are still high. Eggs have also been slightly more plentiful, with prices a bit easier. Honey in bulk is at tho moment being offered in. small quantities, but tho demand is not over-plentiful. Cabbages are not now quite so plentiful,^' and prices have slightly advanced. Cauliflowers are coming forward in small lote, and fairly satisfactory rates areubeing realised. Carrots are still • coming forward in fair quantities, with prices low. Onions are fairly plentiful and values are easier. White turnips have advanced slightly in price, owing to supplies being short. Lettuces are coming forward in better quantities at slightly, advanced prices. Beetroot is fairly plentiful. Spring onions are coming forward in fair quantities, and realise satisfactory prices. Parsnips have been in. rather short supply, with prices firm. Swedes have slightly advanced during the week, principally on account of shorter supplies. Celery is in short supply, with high prices ruling. Leeks are fairly ■ plentiful, with values easy. Artichokes are offered in email quantities at prices about normal. Rhubarb is now coming to hand in fair quantities at easier prices.

Apples, dessert, are not oyeT-plentiful at the moment, and any prime stuff is realising good prices. Apples, cooking, aro in fair supply, satisfactory prices being realised. Pears, dessert, are not now abundant, and prices have slightly advanced. .
