Atvthe Education Conference the Very Rev. Dean Regnault, on behalf of the Marist Brothers, presented'- a r -paper, on "Religion and Education." He said, in connection with the principles actuating a certain section of> the community to maintain our system of education, that there was a, belief that to prepare forcomplete living secular and religious instruction must go hand in hand, as it would be futile to attempt to train" a child. in the moral laws unless religion was used as the basis of such teaching. - During the discussion reference was made by several speakers to the able and tactful way in which the subject had been presented. :. •
