RUGBY FOOTBALL
TRENTHAM y. WELLINGTON,
The 1018 Rugby: season will be closed to-morrow afternoon with a representative match bethween Trentham and Wellington. Trentham has had a- capital back division all the season, and Wellington will have to .rely largely upon i. fine pack. Trentham has already defeated the province this season, and Wellington has twice defeated Auckland and Canterbury, so that the. match will really decide the Rugby championship of New Zealand. At least six New Zealand representatives will be engaged, five with Trentham (F. Roberts, A. M'Donald, ¥'. Glasgow, E. Roberts, H. M. Taylor), and one with Wellington (J. Tilyard). The refereeing will be in the hands of Mr. George Nicholson, of Auckland, himself an old > All Black player, who is in camp. The W.R.F.XJ. has decided to donate £10 out of the "gate" to Mrs. Coleridge's Camp Entertainment Fund. A curtain-raiser, Government Buildings v. Railways, will be played at 1.30. The Government Buildings team is composed entirely of ssnior players. ■
