An Italian official report states: In the Bretna Valley, after a short but effective artillery preparation, with the cooperation of aeroplanes, we attacked the enemy yesterday. morning at Grovella, southward of Corte. After crushing 'a fierce resistance, we conquered the whole defensive system, consisting of entrenchments at the Bottom of the valley and strong defensive works on both sides.
