Mr. H. E. Holland, M.P., has received the following letter from Mrs. R. J. Seddon :—"Dear Mr. Holland,—l have to acknowledge with deep gratitude the receipt of your telegram of 28th August, conveying the sympathy of the electors of Grey, West Coast Labour, and Mrs. Holland and yourself, with me on the sad bereavement we have suffered in the death of my dealeldest son, Captain Seddon, whilst on active service. Please accept yourself, and convey to your district and the Labour organisation, my heartfelt thanks for the message. I am deeply sensible of the sincere sympathy extended to me by our West Coast friends.—l am, yours, sincerely, Janie Seddon." In addition to his lecture on "Italy and the War," the Hon. T. M.
