ENTERTAINED IN PARIS.
PARIS, 13th September. British correspondents in France entertained at luncheon the overseas journalists." Many well-known Frenchmen were present. \
Lord Derby, British Ambassador, expressed the hope that the overseas editors, when they returned home, would emphasise the horrors of war, so as to prevent a recrudescence of the terrible evil. The future of journalism lay in advocating the substitution of right for military autocracy.
The Hon. W. Geddis (New Zealand Times) and Mr. J. C. Mackintosh (editor of the Australasian) responded.
