MAGISTRATE'S COURT
Mr. W.. G. Riddell, S.M., presided at the Magistrate's Court this morning. Two first offending inebriates were dealt with in the usual manner, and William Gox, a second offender, must pay a'fine of 10s or go to gaol for twenty-four hours. James Scott was convicted and discharged for drunkenness, and was fined £3, in default !4 days' imprisonment, for having used obscene language. Ernest Joseph Stanley Dockrill was charged with haying stolen a leather suit-case, containing two suits and a quantity of clothing, of a total value o£ £13, from William Pratt, on 22nd February last, but, on the application of the polioe, a week's remand was granted.
