Morris, formerly chief engineer of the Wimmera, hast signed on another HuddartParker steamer in a similar capacity. MANUKA DUE THIS EVENING. Owing to her late departure from Sydney the Union Company's steamer Manuka will not arrive at Wellington until this evening. She has 2100 tons of cargo for discharge at this port On tills trip she will not make the. usual call at Lyttelton, but will remain in port until 11 p.m. on Saturday, when'she -will sail for Sydney and Hobart. Queen's Wharf, No. 1 north, is the berth assigned to the Ma'nuka during her stay at Wellington. The Te Anau left Auckland last night for Wellington direct. According to present arrangements she: will sail for Bluff on Friday ■ with cargo. An outbreak of'influenza among the firemen on the Moana caused some delay to that vessel, which arrived at Wellington yesterday from San Francisco The Monowai js to leave Dunedin on Friday next for northern ports. , She Trill bj at Wellington on Sunday, and will leave on ■Monday for Napier, GJsborne, and Auckland. No, cargo for the last mentioned ports will be received The Ngahere, which arrived at Wellington last evening from Limestone Island and Napier, will- sail this evening for New'Kymouth and Grevmoutb.. At Greymouth she will load for Napier and Tokomaru Bay The Planter, the American schooner which recently arrived from San Francisco, was shifted from Clyde-quay yesterday to the Railway Wharf to complete discharge The round trip from Manukau to Lyttelton and back to Kaipara has just been completed by the auxiliary schootfer Honto in seventeen days According to the Christehurch Press the recently converted steamer Opihi will commence loading at Lyttelton to-day for Vancouver
