EMPRESS THEATRE.
"The Purple Lily," now being screened at the Empress, is very appropriately named, since it suggests the curious contradictions of temperament of the principal character, whose part is finely played by Kitty Gordon. There are many dramatic situations, and. the play moves at a i-apid speed to the end. The cast includes Muriel Ostriche and: Frank Mavo.
