The Commonwealth Government has engaged Professor ' Lefroy, of the Imperial College ofi Science, London, to investigate the blowfly, grain-weevil, and other pests, and also the possibility of establishing the silk industry in Australia. The engagement covers a- year at a salary of £3060, plus travelling expenses, and £2000 for experimental work.
