THE PUBLIC CLOCKS
In answer to an equiry by "puzzled" as to the timo given by the public clocks at the G.P.O. and the Government Buildings, at noon to-day, the point has been referred to the Government Astronomer, who advises that at noon to-day the G.P.O. clock was nearly half a minute fast, and the Government Buildings clock was nearly one minute slow. "Puzzled" expresses the opinion that the public clocks should show the same time, and, if possible,; the correct time.
