MEETING OP MANAGEMENT
COMMITTEE.
Members of the .Management Oonv mittee of the Wellington Rugby Union met in tho V.M.C.A. Rooms last evening. Mr. D. D. Weir was in the chair.
A complaint against the referee in the match between the Hutt third-class team and the Railway Battalion on Saturday last was (made by,a deputation from the Hutfc Club.
After hearing the deputation, Mr. Weir explained that the committee had no power to review f3ie matter. However, he .thanked the deputation for attending, as its action would no doubt result in some good.
A ground at Athletic Park was granted for a'match between a Wanganui junior team and the Maaist Old Boys.l
The New Zealand! Rugby Union wrote drawing attention to a rnle which states that all inter-union matches must be played under the , Rugby Football Union rules. It appears that daring the match between Wellington and Auckland last Saturday^ the usual rulea were slightly varied. It was dtecidedl to acknowledge receipt of the letter. Mr. Griffiths then proposed that the Auckland-Wellington return match at Wellington be played under the same rules as the match, at' Auckland. This proposal was carried. ;
_ The Fifth and Sixth Class competitions were declared closed. Berhampore won the former and St. Patrick's College B the latter.
