TRENTHAM'S FIRST DEFEAT

The main attraction at Karori Park on Saturday afternoon was the match between Tren.tham A, who were leading, for the competition, and Ramblers, the runners-up. Contrail/ to expectations,

Ramblers won by two points to nil. I'lay was very fast from the bully-oft', and for a time Trentham looked very dangerous. MilKy attempts to score were made by the men in khaki, but on each occasion the ball missed by inchce. Towards the end of the first spell, Ramblers made things lively, and Wheatley shot the ball into the net. Play in the second half was fairly even, and the only goal was scored by Tait (Ramblers) about half w;i/ through the spell. Messrs. Edwards and Jones were referees.

In the match between V.M.C.A. A and Karori, the former showed good form, and won by' 3 goals to 1. Hogau ■ (2) and. Muir scored for the winners, and Smith for the losers, Mr. N. Selig held the whistle.

l''eatherston had no difficulty in de'eating Base Records, the score at the snd of the game being 7to nil. Salek

(3), Egan (2), Shepherd, and M'Caw were the scorers. Mr. F. Spiers had control of the game.

Nine to nil in favour of V.M.C.A. B was the result at the end of the game between V.M.C.A. B and Trentham B. The following scored goals:—Cousin (4), Tandy (3), Pearce, and Adams. Mi Wheatley was referee.

V.M.C.A. C won by default from Pay Department.
