THE MONEY MARKET. There are no changes in the following discount rates during the week:—Bank rate, 5 per cent.; short loans, 3$ per cent.; three months' bills 3J per cent. GOVERNMENT SECUHITIES. Butter supplies are diminishing somewhat, but there is ample for the new scale of rations, two ounces of butter and four ounces of margarine weekly, commencing on the 20th August. Wheat is quiet. Flour is quiet and unchanged. Peas, beans, and oats are unchanged. Tin.—Straits for cash, £385 10s per ton. Other metals.—Prices unchanged. HIDE AND TAXLOW SALES.
