According to private advice: received this afternoon, the miners on the West Coast will resume work to-morrow. The result" of the ballot takori yesterday is obscure. The local trouble, at the West; port-Stockton mine has not been settled; The head office of the Labour Department was advised to-day that all mines in the Grey district were working. The two chief mines at Westport, however, had been unable to work to-day, as there was no shipping available, and the bins and trucks were full. There was. still trouble at the Stockton.
