PETONE PRESBYTERIAN-CHURCH

The annual meeting of the §*■• David's Presbyterian Church was held last evening. There was a fair attendance of members, presided over by the' Itev. Bruce Todd. The financial statement, showed considerable improvement .over that for the previous year, when' .there was a deficit of £7 13s lid. The deficit was wiped off, and there was a credit balance of £4 10s 7d. The sustentation fund also showed an increase in the amount collected of £37 19s over last year. A strong effort is to be made during the coining year to assist the Home and Foreign Mission Funds, ami also to reduce the debt upon*'the church pre* perty. The gratitude of the church was expressed to the lady collectors for the sustentation fund. Thanks were given to all who had assisted in the work of the church. The number on the communion roll of the church is now 186. The, following were elected to the board of" managers :—Messrs. Cbffey, Jackson, M'Millan, Arcus, Harming, Roberts, Koit, and M'Comish. A vote of thank* was passed to the Rev. Biruce Todd for the satisfactory manner in which be had caried out his duties during tie year.
