SHORTHORN BREEDERS' ASSOCIATION

CHRISTCHURCH, 14th August. The annual meeting of the New Zealand Shorthorn Cattle Breeders' Association was held to-day. The report showed that there were 307 bulls and 787 cov.-s in the Herd 8001-. There had been 124 transfers. The financial statement disclosed a credit balance of £84 2s Id for the year. The sum of £100 had been invested in War. Loan. Certificates.
Mr. R. E. Alexander (Lincoln) was elected president; Mr. W. P. Archibald (flawkes Bay), vice-president; and Mr. A. D. M'Master (North Island) and Mr. W. B. Cunningham (South Island) were re-elected members of the council.
