FIRE AT THAMES
HOTEL AND COTTAGE DESTROYED.
(.11 TELEGRAPH.—t'RESS ASSOCIATION.) THAMES, This Day. A fire- last night totally destroyed the Governor Ferguson Hotel and a cottage adjoining. The landlord and the inmates' were about at the time. The origin of the fire is a mystery. The hotel was rebuilt - somo years ago, after it was formerly burnt down. It was owned by Campbell and Ehrenfried, Auckland. Tho only insurance known of locally is that on tho furniture—£3so in the New Zealand Company's office.
