MORE THAN A MERE LANDING.
(published in inr. times.)
(Received August 12, 2.30 p.m.)
TOKIO, lltli August. Tho activities of the General Staff indicate extensive military movements. Although it is. said that the expedition will be limited to a few thousands, the daily reports from Siberia sh6w tha.t the situation calls for tons of thousands. It
is clear that the Czechs and Cossacks cannot continue to hold up the wellaccoutred Magyars, Germans, and Bolsheviks. The Japanese Governmentrealises the situation in Siberia, hence there are preparations to give real aid instead of the mock assistance implied in the occupation of Vladivostok, which is outside the battle area.
