HEALTH PATROLS

The Society for the Protection, of Women and Children lias passed the following motion :—"That this meeting emphatically protests against tho Women Patrols which are now to be appointed being styled "Health Patrols," this term connoting in the public mind a connection with diseases usually acquired by wi;ong-doing, and thereby destroying very largely tho usefulness of the patrols in warning innocent young people m dangerous circumstances. It protests also against the possibility of the abuse of physical examination on suspicion provided by sect-ion 5, sub-section c."
