TRAMWAYS MILITARY BAND

What promises' to be one of the most successful musical treats yet given the Wellington public by the Tramways Military Band will take place in His Majesty's Theatre to-morrow evening, when the band, under the conductorship of Mr. A. Crump, will again appear. The instrumental items include Sousa's "Stars and Stripes" march; the charming tone romance, "The Mill Wheel" ; Edward German's dance suite from ."Nell Gwynne"; and Suppe's over popular overture "Pique Dame." The soloists for the evening are Miss Clarice Buckman, Miss Agnes' Richardson, and Mr. Herbert F. Woods. Tho first singer will be hoard in "La Soi'enata" and "Wake Up" ; Miss Richardson will sing Gounod's "0, Divine Redeemer" an-i Godard's , "An Old Fashioned Town"-; while Mr. W^oods, whose, tenor voice is always pleasing, has selected "Rose of Picardy" and the charming waltz song "Eestiny." The concert is timed to finish in ample time to allow '■ patrons to catch cars to any locality.

The Y.W.C.A. is arranging for a patriotic concert to be given on Monday next in St. Peter's Schoolroom, Ghuz-noe-street, under the leadership of Mrs. Percy Woods. Her Excellency, the Countess of Liverpool, will bo present. The proceeds will be divided,up between the Red! Cross Gappev Trail and the Y.W.C.A. Soldi-era' Supjwr Fund.
