Mr. Edward Shortt (Chief Secretary for Ireland), speaking in the House of Commons, Enid that during the recess he) with the Government Committee, would endeavour to get some Home Rule measure into such shape as would ensure its passing the House. The Government intended to secure the Ulstermen's rifles—if without trouble, so much the better.
