WAR ANNIVERSARY SERVICES
AWARDS FOR BRAVERY.
(Special from the Official War Correspondent,) 4th August. To-day some twenty services in connection with the anniversary of the war were held throughout the division. They were conducted by the padres of the different units, whose bands accompanied in the singing of hymns. At Divisional Headquarters. an impressive service was conducted, and an eloquent serraoii was preached by the grandson of a former Maori member of Parliament. The following awards for gallantry in the field are published :— Military Crosses—2nd Lt. E. F. Tyson (Artillery), 2nd Lt. T. A. Snelling (Rifles). ■ . - I D.C.M.—CpI. F. M. Dodds (Canterbury), Pte. C. J. Dallard (Wellington). Military Medal—Dvr. W. Bourk (Field Ambulance), Cpl. L. A. Berg. Pte. H. S. Fraser, Cpl. N. R. Moore (Otago). (AUS ANB N.Z. CABLE ASSN. AND REOTER.) (Received August 7, 11 a.m.) LONDON, 6th August. Twenty New Zealanders have been awarded the Military Medal. (AUSTiUUAN-NKW ZEALAND CABLE ASSOCIATION.) " (Received August 7, 10 a.m.) LONDON, 6th August. New Zealand won the half-mile relay race at. the naval military sports at Stamford Bridge, also the international teams' contest, including the hundred yards, quarter-milej and- half-mile.
