TEACHERS AND MILITARY SERVICE
The Wellington Education Board has received a. circular from the Education Department intimating that as some 700 teachers from primary schools have gone on active service and much difficulty is now experienced in maintaining the efficiency of the service, Education Boards should appeal for the whole of the remaining Second Division teachers on their respective staffs. It may be explained that this has been tho policy of the Wellington Education Board for some time past.
