KH-ANDALLAH- CLUB
The annual meeting of the Khandallah Bowling Club was held at the pavilion on Monday night. The Chairman (Mr. ;F. W. Mansfield), in moving the adoption of the report and balance-sheet, made special reference to the work recently carried out for improving the drainage and giving a, better playing green. The election of officers resulted as follows :—President, Mr. G. Finn; directors, Messrs. J. A. Plimmer, F. Lyall, E. Cowles, G. Hogben, C.M.G., W. Hutchings, W. E. Plimmer (reelected), and W. Ritchie; secretary, Mr. W. R. Plimmer; treasurer, Mr. W. Ritchie; auditor, Mr. W. C. Stephens, F.P.A., N.Z. ; solo selector, Mr. H. M. Nalder; delegate to centre, Mr. F. W. Mansfield. A motion to increase the annual subscription to £3 3s was passed. Mr. Appleton voiced the feeling of a number of- members who disapproved the sending away of so many players that the home green was depleted, and consequently some players were unable to participate in a game. The meeting; directed therefore that the club should for tha season refrain from taking pavt in the Pennant lixfcures and engage in fewer friendly matches.
