TO REPLACE THE.WIMMERA. One of the questions discussed at the last meeting of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce was the need of a vessel to take the place of the Wimmera in the Sydney-Aucklancl run.' The President (Mr. R. Burns) said that " ' tho chamber had sent a private deputation on the subject to Sir James Allen, who replied that he -would give his sympathetic attention to the matter, though the difficulty in the ■ way of replacing the Wimmera was the scarcity of steamers.
