HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE.

The new programme presented before a full house at His Majesty's Theatre last night was of a type that pleased the big audience immensely. Only two of the turns, Patsie Hill's daintily sung soprano ballads and Mandeno and his five dogs, are new to Wellington, but each of tho artists was warmly welcomed back again. Mandeno has remarkable control over his animals. A big black fellow is the comedian of the troupe. The Trio Olassique, comprising Mr. Laurie Kennedy ('cellist), Mr. Lance Kennedy (flautist), and Miss Doy Adelle (pianist), will always be welcome in Wellington. Last night their work was splendid. Graham's Human Marionettes were a bright and popular item; on the bill, and Phil Percival again made believe to be in most convivial mood at the piano. Frank, Lank, and Alice repeated their wonderfully clever club juggling turn, and Bellora, the Australian bird mimic, is a strong member of the combination. Vaude and Verne keep up a fire of healthy fresh patter and topical hits without any apparent effort. F. 0.8. and his dainty partner, in song and dance; the Five Lewins, who dance pleasingly; and' tho orchestra under Mr. Frank Crowther, supply the remainder of the all-round enjoyable entertainment.
