10,000 NAMES BEING DRAWN,

The first ballot for Second Division Reservists in Class C is being conducted •by the Government Statistician (Mr. Malcolm Fraser) to-day. Ten thousand names are being drawn. Mr. S. E. M'Carthy, S.M., is supervising the drawing, and the Mayor (Mr. J. P. Luke) and Mr. M. J. Reardon (representing the Trades Council) have also been present. The drawing will be completed shortly, but the list of names will not be gazetted before next week,
