NOT LIMITED TO THE ORIENT.
(Received June 10, 9.30 a.m.)
TOKIO, 9th June.
Major-General Ugaki, who negotiated tho Chino-Japanese Agreement, states it is not limited to defence, and its scope is not confined to the Orient. Messages from Pekin point out that tho publication, of the Notes exchanged between China and Japan throws no light on the rumours that the Japanese control the training and organisation of the Chinese Army, or the fear that Japanese control is general in China.
